Delta FC Tryouts — Week 1 Complete

The first week of Delta FC Madrid tryouts is officially in the books, and the energy on the pitch was everything we hoped for and more.

A huge thank you to every player who came out. Whether you have been following the club since our beginnings in Segovia or discovered Delta FC for the first time this week, the commitment and quality we saw was incredible. Dozens of players trialled across multiple sessions, each one bringing something different to the table.

Delta FC is an English-speaking football club, and our tryouts reflect the diversity of our community. Players from across Europe, South America, Africa, and beyond showed up ready to compete for a place in the Madrid squad. This is what makes Delta FC unique in the Spanish amateur football landscape — a truly international club where English is the common language on and off the pitch.

Our Madrid team competes in the RFFM (Real Federación de Fútbol de Madrid) Segunda Aficionados, which means this is real federated football. The standard is high, the matches are competitive, and every player who earns a spot in the squad is expected to train two to three times per week and be available for Sunday league matches.

From new faces to familiar ones returning from last season, it has been great to see the excitement building around what is shaping up to be a strong and deep squad. The coaching staff evaluated every player across technical ability, tactical understanding, physical condition, and attitude — because at Delta FC, mentality matters as much as talent.
